Rijsttafel
Indonesia is the land of spices and herbs and this was the main reason the Dutch, Arab, Indian, Chinese, Portuguese and British tried to colonize it. Rijsttafel is a Dutch word and means 'rice table'. It was invented by the Dutch colonial plantation owners, who loved to sample different Indonesian dishes with small portions at a time. Dishes were selected and served on a long table.

Butcher Board
In true Balinese fashion, the different meats that have been celebrated on this island and been passed down for generations can be found on this authentic Balinese Butcher’s Board. In traditional ceremonies, a man from one village presents himself with a sword to help cut the meats of the inviting party, making it a communal activity where sharing duties and responsibilities is a cornerstone of Balinese life. This experience has been recreated true to its authentic form for you.
