      About

Named after the traditional Islamic art form, this restaurant pays homage to Egyptian cuisine and its enduring uniqueness. Using traditional ingredients like molokhiyya, a green paste made of the Arab’s mallow, and fava beans, along with staples like rice and bread, the menu here livens up dishes like kebabs, taking them from the appetiser section to centre stage. With a bold interior featuring a range of intricate patterns, this restaurant regularly organises live entertainment for dinner service, so patrons are treated to a feast for all senses when dining here.

Can’t decide what to order? Dig into the Mix Mazzah Platter on the Egyptian menu to have a taste of everything. There are two platters available - the cold platter, featuring plant-based dishes like Hummus and Baba Gannoug, and the hot platter featuring meat dishes like Stuffed Wine Leaves and Chicken Shawarma. For something a little moreish, try the Fattah Mozzah Lamb, a rich dish of lamb flavoured with herbs and spices on a bed of rice and fried garlic bread.

The Indian Menu is equally tempting, featuring a range of dishes like the Sikandari Raan, a whole leg of spiced lamb cooked in a traditional tandoor oven. The Dahi ke Kebab is an interesting plant based alternative to the regular kebab, and features minced green vegetables stuffed with hung curd. (September 2018)
