      About

You’ll find yourself spoilt for choice at PortoSino, where food from different cultures are celebrated in this elegant setting near Karon Beach. Dig into traditional Chinese dishes such as Pork Dumplings swathed in a creamy cheese sauce and served with some sauerkraut, or Ranong Bak Kut Teh, a meaty bone broth infused with aromatic Chinese herbs.

For more Western flavours, the Baked Chicken Spatchcock comes with braised fennel and white wine risotto, while fans of classic French fare will enjoy the Canard a’l Orange -- tender duck breast bathed in a citrusy orange sauce accompanied with a side of lentils. A must-try here is the restaurant’s signature Pizza Flaming Portuguese, where Chinese sausage (lap cheong) marries Portuguese chorizo together with chilli flakes, mushrooms, and feta cheese on a leopard-spotted crust. Save some room for traditional Thai desserts — the Khanom Mor Gaeng is an interesting combination of Thai taro (yam) custard sprinkled with shallots for a sweet-savoury sensation. (Feb 2019)
