      About

      Situated in the elegant, colonial-style Cabochon Hotel just outside Bangkok's city centre, Thai Lao Yeh offers classic Thai dishes as well as a selection of lesser-known Isan and Laotian fare. The restaurant exudes a rustic charm with wall panels crafted from century-old timber, vintage furniture, and rattan decor.

      For starters, try the crackling Deep Fried Chicken Skin or the Grilled Chiang Mai Pork Sausage, a popular street snack in the region. Mains include all-time favourites like Tom Yum Goong and Pad Thai, but we'd recommend going on a culinary adventure with less common finds like the Spicy Oxtail Soup Phuket Style, a rich and savoury broth chock full of tender beef strips. Another favourite is the Deep Fried Seabass with Green Mango Sauce — imagine crispy nuggets of fish accompanied by a tangy and spicy green mango dip.
