    Flame Cafe taps into everything you need from a cafe; beautiful, industrial chic surroundings to Instagram the afternoon away in, comforting cafe grub, and the wafting aromas of freshly brewed coffee to keep you bright and perky over catch-ups and a spot of reading. It’s also a great location to grab a big meal, with a sprawling menu that includes Western favourites with a slightly Asian twist. Think a laksa-inspired aglio olio with fishcake, punchy laksa gravy, and bouncy shrimp, or grilled chicken that’s been marinated in lemongrass and served with local vegetables.

    The highlight of the menu, though, is the Cheesy Hotpot & BBQ Pagoda Steamboat. Imagine a cross between unctuous fondue and fragrant Asian hotplate barbecue. A three-tiered setup arrives at the table, one level is filled with gooey cheese and another is a searing hot BBQ pan, ready to grill your pick of fresh meat and vegetables. Once grilled and smoky, dip the meat into the cheese sauce for extra indulgence. The top is a little pot of boiling stock to cook more delicate ingredients in.
