    Fueled by the star power of Malaysian super Chef Wan, 1Market has been summoning loads of eager buffet enthusiasts to its brand new outlet at Plaza Singapura. With row upon row of Asian specialties on offer, there's no shortage of both excitement and variety at the restaurant!

    A massive help-yourself spread of nearly every classic Asian dish you can think of is waiting in heaps at 1Market. Calling upon its Malaysian roots, the decor is kampong-chic, with plenty of room between tables, and a very navigable set up of stations. It's also Halal-certified, giving those observant diners a bevy of choices that's second to none in Singapore.

    It's wise to start at the Japanese station featuring a fresh selection of the essential sashimi varieties, followed by the chilled seafood bar that's chock full of sweet crab legs. The grill and satay stations with stingray and sotong are also noteworthy, and by the looks of the snaking queue, extremely popular. While waiting, enjoy savoury curry dishes like their Gulai Ayam and Turmeric Crab. This is also a good chance to sample the veritable rainbow of house-made sauces at each station. A thoughtful touch, these dressings are both unique and flavourful, allowing you to customise your courses to a tee.

    More live stations include Penang Rojak and Kueh Pai Tee, both solid choices. From the desserts, tarts, cakes and DIY ice kacang options thrill, but the waffles seem to garner the most fans. They come complete with a crisp-from-the-griddle texture, and a scoop of ice cream melting its way down to its pockets.
