    Izakayas have become some of the best popular drinking establishments in Singapore, and for a good reason. These casual joints allow patrons to relax with a nice cup of sake after a long day at work. Think you’ve exhausted your Izakaya options? Not quite. Be sure to head on down to Torii Izakaya!

    Located at Duxton Road, this cosy Izakaya is a perfect place to get together with friends. Be sure to try their Wagyu sliders, a delicious steam-grilled sandwich that encases a thick slab of meat between two scone buns, topped with spinach and caramelised onions. Pair this with a glass (or two) of Torii Izakaya’s Hidden Green, a delightful concoction of apple juice, yuzu juice, umeshu and gin.

    Prefer something a little stronger? Then you definitely cannot miss their Suntory Kakubin whiskey. Wash it down with the Ox Tongue, seasoned with sea salt and black pepper. If you’d like something more substantial to soak up the alcohol, try the restaurant’s signature Beef Donburi - a rice bowl topped with beef, caviar, truffle, foie gras and gooey onsen tamago.
