    About

Jimoto Dining presents an authentic Japanese omakase experience. Touted as the best omakase restaurant in the Joo Chiat neighbourhood, the restaurant serves their omakase over the counter, presenting you with a wonderful opportunity to see the expert chefs at work.

A nice wake-me-up after a day at work, the ice-cold Saito Karakuchi is a smooth, crisp house pour sake that is moderately sweet. Pair it with the Pitan Tofu, a go-to appetiser at Jimoto Dining. Sitting in a housemade sauce of sake, mirin and shoyu, the silken tofu is served cold. To go with the rest of the meal, order a bottle of Saito Junmai Ginjo Genshu. Boasting robust and tangy flavours, it complements the meal perfectly.

Start off with Sashimi Platter, which consists of lightly torched kurodai, yellowtail and tachiuo. Move on to the Tuna Katsu Tataki With Ponzu Sauce, which is a harmonious bite of meat and fatty tuna. End the meal on a sweet note with the restaurant’s refreshing Yuzu Sorbet. (Mar 2020)
