    About

Touted as Singapore’s first Makgeolli bar and restaurant, Joo Bar is conveniently located along Tan Quee Lan Street within a three-storey heritage shophouse. Offering top notch Korean bites and creative drinks in a cosy, laid-back environment, Joo Bar is the place to recharge, rejuvenate and re-energise after a long day at work.

Featuring an array of quintessential Korean dishes with a twist, a huge crowd favourite is the Joo Calamari. Served with lime, the accompanying kimchi tartar sauce is made from Joo Bar’s signature in-house recipe, adding a delightful kick when eaten with the crispy squid rings. For those who love chicken, the Dak Kang Jung is a fiery dish that is sure to blow you away! A tantalising mix of chicken tenders, spring onion, tteokbokki, and honey butter glaze, this flaming dish is a unique spin on a usually sweet and savoury dish set to delight your taste buds.

Another highly recommended dish is the Joo Bossam. Braised pork belly is the star of the dish, with its flavours further enhanced by a side of spicy radish salad and white yucha kimchi. (Jul 2020)
