    About

Launched in September 2019, The Elephant Room is Singapore’s first culture forward cocktail bar inspired by the city’s vibrant ethnic enclave of Little India. Named after the sub-continent’s national heritage animal, The Elephant Room tells stories of real life figures and experiences through modern tipples concocted with a culinary flair. Helmed by Head Bartender and Co-Owner Yugnes Susela, The Elephant Room is located in a cosy yet visually striking second floor space of a shophouse on the fringes of Keong Saik Road.

The bar is marking their eventful first year with a new menu of tipples and nibbles. Driven to strike conversations between The Elephant Room and the district’s colourful residents, Yugnes and his team make weekly visits to Little India for more than just supplies. Delving deeper into its colourful past, they seek to uncover and translate its century’s worth of stories, from its European influences to cattle trading, into their menus. (Sep 2020)
