    Chic, minimalist, and cosy, Tomo Izakaya captures the essence of a traditional izakaya while injecting youthful fun in both the restaurant's decor and food. Relax and unwind over sake, wines and spirits as you tuck into delicious Japanese cuisine at Tomo Izakaya. Air-flown twice weekly from Tokyo’s famed Tsukiji Market, all the ingredients showcase the best of the seasons.

    The izakaya offers small plate dishes such as yakitori, sushi and karaage. Crunchy and addictive, the deep fried Gobo Chips are great bar snacks. Another delightful small plate is the Aspara Maki. Wrapped in pork belly, the grilled asparagus is full of flavour. A welcome twist on the usual grilled salmon with cheese, the Salmon Wasabi Mayo uses the punch of wasabi to give the grilled salmon an extra kick.

    For something light and more refreshing, have a bowl of Ochazuke. With a choice of salmon, plum or spicy roe, the Japanese-style porridge is the perfect comfort dish on rainy days. (Sep 2020)
